Kirkwood Guest House in Windermere is run by Mags and Boyd and is a Visit Britain/EnjoyEngland four star rated Guest House in Windermere providing Bed and Breakfast and excellent help and advice. Built in 1897 as a private residence by local builder George H. Pattinson from slate and stone using local traditional methods It has been established as a Guest House in Windermere for more than 40 years. The Guest House has a warm and welcoming feel with large landings and larger than normal rooms and has been recently modernised but the owners have kept many of the original features such as doors and architraves thoughout and plaster coving in the Hallway and Lounge. The ground floor lounge has been retained for sole use of the guests. In the lounge we keeep a large selection of information for drives or walks around the Lake District and Cumbria.
